A couple of months ago, a report surfaced claiming that Willem Dafoe was in talks to reprise his role as Green Goblin in Spider-Man 3. Well, according to GWW, Dafoe has reportedly been spotted on the set of the film.

The report says “sources close to GWW and the same ones who revealed to us that Alfred Molina was cast in the Spidey sequel have now informed us Willem Dafoe has reported to the set as of today and will in fact play a role in the upcoming threequel.”

No other details were revealed, but the site has 100% trust in its source. So, it looks like there’s a good chance that we’ll see Dafoe back as Norman Osborn a.k.a. Green Goblin.

It’s already been announced that Alfred Molina will be back as Doctor Octopus and Jamie Foxx is coming back as Electro. There are also reports that Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will be back as their versions of Spider-Man. Tom Holland denies those reports, but we’ll see.

It’s also been rumored that Kirsten Dunst will return as Mary Jane Watson, Emma Stone could reprise her role as Gwen Stacy, and that Charlie Cox might appear as Daredevil.

Regardless of what happens, with Doctor Strange being thrown into the mix and the multiverse playing a big part of the story, this is going to be one crazy-ass Marvel movie!

Spider-Man 3 is being directed by Jon Watts, and it also stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori, and Jacob Batalon. It’s also confirmed that the film will tie into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The movie is currently set to be released on December 17th, 2021.
