WINNIE THE POOH: BLOOD AND HONEY Director Wants To Make a TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Horror Movie

There’s been a lot of talk surrounding the recently released horror film Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, which sees the beloved characters of Pooh and Piglet embarking on a bloody murder spree. Some people like this concept, some people hate it, and some people are threatening the director with death.

The director of the movie is Rhys Frake-Waterfield, and he’s planning to expand the franchise into a twisted horror cinematic universe with beloved childhood characters. He’s already got a sequel in the works and he’s working on brutal horror versions of Bambi and Peter Pan.

Now, he’s set his sights on another property…. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yes, he was to make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles horror movie. While talking to Collider about this, he said:

"I've really been excited by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lately because I think the story has a very kind of horrifying undertone anyway because it's these half-human, half-turtles who live in the sewer who have a rat king who they follow, and then they come out of the sewer with weapons. [Laughs] It all just starts to link together to me. So I'd love to do that. I'd love to have them like down an alleyway cutting people up, feeding them to their rat king on pizza or something. I hope I can get the copyrights to that, but I don't know if I can."

Yeah, there’s no way that he’s going to be able to get the right to that franchise to make this movie! But, the guy certainly has a vision for what he’s trying to build. It’ll be interesting to see how many films he manages to pump out of this thing he’s building. If people flock to theaters to watch them, he’s going to be able to keep making them.
