WOLF MAN Featurette Offers a Behind-The-Scenes Look at the Practical Makeup Effects

Universal has released a behind-the-scenes featurette from the movie Wolf Man, and it offers a look at the work that went into transforming Christopher Abbott into a full-on werewolf.

All of the makeup effects in the film were practical, which is one of the things that I appreciated about the movie. It’s pretty awesome to see all of the work that went into bringing this creature to life and the process the team went through to create it.

Leigh Whannell previously talked about the creature design, which is very different from the original Wolfman design, saying: “With the look of Wolf Man, I knew I wanted to do something very different. I was really inspired by movies like John Carpenter’s The Thing and David Cronenberg’s The Fly.”

I really enjoyed this movie, but it didn’t do as well at the box office as Universal and Blumhouse hoped it would.
