WONDER WOMAN 1984 Gets a New Poster and n Amusing Promo Spot
Director Patty Jenkins has shared another colorful new poster for Wonder Woman 1984 ahead of its DC FanDome presentation, which is set for tomorrow. It features Gal Gadot all decked out in Wonder Woman’s golden armor. There’s also an amusing new promo spot for you to watch that features Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor all decked out in ridiculous 80s-style clothes.
The poster came with a note from Jenkins saying, “Many fun new things ahead. See you TOMORROW!! Who's ready?” You can watch the promo spot below:
The story for the sequel picks up with Diana Prince as she’s working at the Natural History Museum in Washington, D.C., and she’s been living a quiet, lonely life since the events of the first movie. But she’s still just trying to help the people who need it.
Producer Charles Roven previously shared some additional info, saying:
"She has not only had the loss of [Chris Pine’s] Steve Trevor. [but] she’s lost nearly all the people that are important to her because they’re not immortal, and her life is actually quite lonely and spartan. In fact, the only joy that she gets out of it is when she’s actually doing something for people, if she can help those in need."
Wonder Woman 1984 also Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord and Kristen Wiig in the role of Cheetah. If you want to know how their characters and the story in general, some details were revealed in a junior novelization of the film, which you can read about here. But, those details do contain spoilers.
The movie is set to hit theaters on October 2, 2020.
