Wonderful New Trailer for the Anime Film LOOK BACK Created by CHAINSAW MAN’s Tatsuki Fujimoto
GKids has released another trailer for the beautiful-looking anime film titled Look Back, which is based on the acclaimed manga one-shot from Chainsaw Man’s Tatsuki Fujimoto.
This film tells the story of the characters Kyomoto and Fujuno, two rivals who become friends and are united by their love and passion for drawing manga. This looks like a very sweet and moving story.
In the film, “Popular, outgoing Fujino is celebrated by her classmates for her funny comics in the class newspaper. One day, her teacher asks her to share the space with Kyomoto, a truant recluse whose beautiful art sparks a competitive fervor in Fujino.
“What starts as jealousy transforms when Fujino realizes their shared passion for drawing. A heart-wrenching and impactful story about growing up.”
Look Back is directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who formed part of the animation team on Studio Ghibli titles such as The Boy and the Heron, The Wind Rises, and Arrietty.
The film is set to be released in US theaters in October 4th, 2024 and I’m looking forward to watching it.
