Writer Hired For JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3; Studio Aiming to Start Production This Fall
Great news for all you fans of John Wick! Lionsgate has brought back Derek Kolstad, the writer of John Wick, and John Wick: Chapter 2 to begin writing a screenplay for John Wick: Chapter 3. If that's not good enough for you, The Hollywood Reporter says the studio is officially fast-tracking the project so that it can begin production this fall. Keanu Reeves is expected to reprise his role, but there is no official confirmation yet.
Chad Stahelski, who co-directed the first movie is working with Kolstad and developing the project, he also hopes that he will be able to direct the picture.
It's a great sign to see a studio with such a successful franchise like Wick doing everything they can to keep the same creative team together. If they don't, they face the risk of the next chapter falling short.
Reeves previously shared his thoughts on what he'd like to see happen in the third film, and Stahelski offered up his own ideas recently that you can read here.
What do you guys think? What do you want to see happen in Chapter 3?
