YELLOWSTONE Prequel Series 1883 Adds GRAHAM GREENE To Cast
The Yellowstone prequel series 1883 looks so damn good! Last week, a new trailer was released for the series, which tells the history of the Dutton family, and it’s going to be a show you won’t want to miss.
It has now been announced that Graham Greene has joined the cast. He is best known for his work in films such as Dances With Wolves, Wind River, The Green Mile, Thunderheart and more. Greene will play Spotted Eagle, “a Crow elder who spots the wagon train and tells James Dutton about the place, Paradise Valley, where he should settle with his family.”
The series follows “the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land — Montana.”
Greene joins Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as James and Margaret Dutton. Sam Elliott plays Shea Brennan, “a tough cowboy with some underlying melancholy to be revealed as he guides the emigrants from Texas to Montana.” Then there’s Billy Bob Thornton as Marshal Jim Courtright. It also stars Isabel May, LaMonica Garret, Audie Rick, Marc Rissmann, Eric Nelsen, and James Landry Hébert.
Taylor Sheridan created the series and is an executive producer. 1883 is set to premiere on Paramount+ on December 19th.
