Zack Snyder's REBEL MOON Gets an Epic First Trailer!
As promised, Netflix has dropped the first trailer for Zack Snyder’s Star Wars-inspired movie Rebel Moon, and this movie looks really cool! This is very much a Snyder movie as his signature style is all over this trailer. As expected, the movie is going to be visually stunning, and it looks like it’s going to tell a solid story as well! You can definitely see the influences of Star Wars, but this is 100% the Snyder brand, and I’m excited about watching it!
The story follows a group of ragtag rebels who rise up to fight against a giant, evil Empire. It’s set in a “peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius. They dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them take a stand against the Tyrant.”
Snyder previously talked about the project, saying: “This is me growing up as an Akira Kurosawa fan, a Star Wars fan. It's my love of sci-fi and a giant adventure. My hope is that this also becomes a massive IP and a universe that can be built out."
This is a two-part film and each part will come with an R-rated edition that fans can watch as well. The movie stars Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Bae Doona, Djimon Hounsou. Ray Fisher, Jena Malone, Ed Skrein, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, Anthony Hopkins, and Alfonso Herrera.
Part One of Rebel Moon is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on December 22nd following a limited theatrical release.
