"Marvel is Prepping" ANT-MAN Movie according to Stan Lee
Legendary comic-book creator Stan Lee tweeted some news/claims about Marvel Movie projects in the works. Likely the most plausible news is that, "Marvel is prepping a movie starring– Ant Man!" This is confirmed by the fact that Lee had a meeting with director Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) -- who has been developing an Ant-Man movie for a couple of years, but after taking on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, he put the project on the back burner. Wright confirmed the meeting when he tweeted:
Sometimes you shouldn’t meet your heroes in case they disappoint. @smilinstanlee does not disappoint.
Wright could very well be back to work on Ant-Man, as Scott Pilgrim is currently in the effects stage of post production, with successful test-screenings already having taken place. Right after Disney acquired Marvel and their stable of characters, it was reported that Pixar was eyeballing an Ant-Man movie. It is unclear whether or not that is still happening, or if this is the project Wright is taking on, as Pixar has begun to branch out into live-action films as well.
Wright also met up with Iron Man director Jon Favreau, and somewhat brought up Ant-Man again, by saying that he didn't bring it up with Favreau, tweeting "Amazingly, we talked neither Avengers nor Antman."
Stan Lee also mentioned some other properties that have made rumor rounds and have been reported on, like Iron Fist, Dr Strange (which would be amazing!), Black Panther, and "more, more, more."
