MONSTERS Sequel Gets Title and New Director

Gareth Edwards' Monsters looks to be closer to getting a sequel. Earlier we reported that Brent Bonacorso and Jesse Atlas were to make their feature film directorial debut. Screen Daily reports that up-and-coming director Tom Green is now set to helm the sequel officially titled Monsters: The Dark Continent. 

At this time we don't have an official production start date. While I am anxious to see a sequel, I am happy that Vertigo Films is not rushing out a sequel just to make a quick buck. Green gained a lot of attention with his student film Brixton 85 and has since directed the British superhero drama Misfits. Thi will be his first feature film directing gig. 

If you have not seen the original film, be sure to check it out on Netflix. I loved the look and feel of the film, and the fact Edwards did not make a big thing of showing the aliens in every scene. Are you looking forward to seeing this sequel?
