STAR WARS: EPISODE VII Production Start Date and Release Date Confirmed

It's no secret that J.J. Abrams is prepping to shoot Star Wars: Episode VII at Pinewood Studios in the U.K. early next year. Thanks to our friends at Latino Review, we now know that the movie will start shooting on January 21st, 2014. They also confirm a previously released rumor that the movie will end up being released around Christmas time in 2015.

The information on this movie is still very minimal. There are a lot of recent rumors though, that include Ewan McGregor will reprising his role as Obi Wan Kenobi, and that Ian McDiarmid  returning as a ghost version of Emperor Palpatine. It was also announced the movie would be shot on film, not digitally. Then of course the original main members of the cast are expected to return.

It will be nice when we finally get some actual solid confirmation of what is going on with this movie and who will be in it.

I have to admit that it would be my dream to actually get to go and visit the set of this movie during production. Episodes eight and nine are expected to hit theaters in 2016 and 2017.
