Ben Affleck Spotted On SUICIDE SQUAD Set, Seemingly Confirming Batman Cameo
About three months ago, rumors began popping up that Ben Affleck's Batman would appear in WB/DC's upcoming Suicide Squad movie as more than just a cameo. By this point, it was all but assured that we'd see him pop up on computer monitors at some point as other characters talk about him, but the rumor said Affleck himself would be making a more traditional cameo in the movie. For the past few months, everyone's been more concerned with the casting and with Jared Leto's take on The Joker, but now there is a set photo from a Twitter user (via ComingSoon) that puts Affleck on the set in Toronto while filming is underway.
eTalk had reported that Affleck was in the Canadian city, but that could mean anything. This is the first photo of him on the set (that we're aware of, anyway), so it's very, very likely that we'll see him in the flesh (either as Bruce Wayne, Batman, or both) in the film. Early word said that he'd have a scene with Leto's Joker that would ideally set up a solo Batman film down the line, and that prior to the events in the movie, The Joker was the only person who has ever met Batman. We'll keep our eyes and ears open for more as production on Suicide Squad continues.
