Brie Larson Confirmed to Play CAPTAIN MARVEL in Marvel Studios' First Female-Led Superhero Film
After wowing Comic-Con's Hall H crowd (and audiences at home) earlier today with the trailer for Kong: Skull Island, Oscar winner Brie Larson took the stage and confirmed that she'll be playing Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel, Marvel Studios' first female-led superhero movie.
The actress was in talks for the role about a month ago, and those discussions must have gone well, because we now know who will be taking flight as the new heroine. I'm sort of surprised we didn't get a director announcement also, but hey, I'll take what I can get.
