Chris Pratt Calls GHOSTBUSTERS Rumors "Complete Bullsh*t"

Chris Pratt rocketed to the top of every studio's "want" list after he brought Star-Lord to life in Guardians of the Galaxy and was cast in the Steven Spielberg-produced Jurassic World. One of the many projects for which he's been rumored is a new Ghostbusters movie that would follow Paul Feig's upcoming female-led movie. Sony is definitely looking to expand the Ghostbusters universe, and you might remember this particular project from reports that went around claiming it would be a "guy-centric" version of the film. That "guy-centric" description seems to have been completely made up by a reporter with an agenda all his own, but reports indicated that Channing Tatum and Pratt were being pitched as two members of a possible new team.

But Pratt spoke with GQ in a new interview, and it turns out those plans aren't nearly as concrete as everyone assumed:

"No one has ever even spoken to me about that. Never. I've even seen Channing a couple times. As far as I know, that's complete bullshit. Knight Rider—bullshit. All of them."

It seems strange that he and Tatum, who have reportedly been wanting to work together for a while, wouldn't have had a real conversation about this possibility. But I doubt he'd lie about something like this so early on in the process. It's not like a Benedict Cumberbatch/Khan situation in which he's trying to preserve some big secret. So while that doesn't exactly close the door on either of these movies ever happening in the future, at least right now it doesn't seem like Pratt will be involved with either of them. Of course, that could all change with a quick phone call from a studio.
