First Look at the Villain Shocker in Costume from SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

Some photos have surfaced from the set of Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming featuring the villain Shocker in full costume that you can check out below. It was recently revealed in a leaked call sheet that actor Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo) is playing the character. The costume is pretty cool, and as you will see, it includes several familiar elements from the comic book design.

The suit the character wears was self-invented, and in the comics it provides deflection of physical attacks, resistance to being grasped, and there are the gauntlets which you can see in the photos below. The gauntlets are "designed with vibro-shock units known as 'vibro-smashers' that, when activated by a pump-action thumb trigger, can project a concentrated blast of compressed air that vibrates at an intense frequency. This creates a series of rapid-succession high-pressure air blasts that result in a series of powerful impacts."

Spider-Man: Homecoming centers on Spidey dealing with the perils of high school while battling supervillains and being a superhero in New York. The Jon Watts-directed film stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and he will be joined by Michael Keaton as the Vulture, Michael Chernus as the Tinkerer, Zendaya as MJ, Tony Revolori as Flash, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, and Donald Glover. Reprising their roles from the MCU, we have Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7th, 2017. For all of your previously released news on the film, click here.
