GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY's Dave Bautista to Play a Villain in BOND 24?
Not long ago there was a casting breakdown that leaked online from Sam Mendes' Bond 24. It revealed that producers were looking to cast someone to fill a villainous role that was described as being in the tradition of Jaws and Oddjob. Here is that casting description, which is for a character named Hinx:
We are looking to follow in the tradition of JAWS and ODDJOB in finding an iconic baddy.
“Hinx (Male, 30 – 45)”
“Ideally over 6? 2?. Hinx is the main henchman/assassin. We are looking for an imposing extremely physically fit actor. He has several fights with Bond and will have to have stunt training. He has to drive. We are looking for someone very unusual, possibly from a sports background.”
“Height: 180cm – 195cm"
It sounds like producers have found their man. According to Latino-Review, Guardians of the Galaxy co-star Dave Bautista has landed the role of this Hinx character.
Bautista was freakin' awesome as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, and he seems like he would be the perfect actor to take on the role of a Bond villain. If this news is true, I can't wait to see his portrayal of this character.
Bond 24 is scheduled to start shooting on Dec 6th, with actor Daniel Craig playing the role of James Bond for the fourth time. It was also recently announced that Léa Seydoux (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Blue is the Warmest Color) will play one of the Bond girls in the story.
