It Looks Like Night Nurse Might Appear in DOCTOR STRANGE
Daredevil Season 1 showrunner Steven DeKnight recently revealed some interesting information regarding Rosario Dawson’s character, Claire Temple. This info sheds some light on a character that could be introduced in the upcoming Doctor Strange film.
The original character Dawson was supposed to play in Daredevil was Night Nurse, aka Linda Carter, but they had to change things up because Marvel had plans to use that character in one of their films. DeKnight explained to /Film:
“The feature side had plans for her down the road, so that was the only time we ran into a conflict. So we just used another name.”
Night Nurse has very close ties to Doctor Strange, which leads me to believe that's where she is going to be introduced in the MCU. The character is dedicated to providing care to the entire superhero community and she has worked closely not only with Doctor Strange but also for Captain America and obviously Daredevil.
This is by no means confirmation that Night Nurse will be in Doctor Strange, but if Marvel really does plan on using her, then that's the place that makes the most sense to include her. Hell, I'll take the speculation even further and say that maybe that's the role Rachel McAdams is up for! She just confirmed herself that she has been in talks with the studio.
Doctor Strange is scheduled to hit theaters November 4th, 2016. The movie is being directed by Scott Derrickson from a script by Jon Spaihts. Benedict Cumberbatch will play Stephen Strange, a neurosurgeon who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.
