Marvel’s Mockingbird Series, MARVEL’S MOST WANTED, Gets a Pilot Order
Remember that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff series featuring Adrianne Palicki’s Mockingbird that was in development? Well, ABC has officially given it a pilot order. The series will be called Marvel’s Most Wanted, and it will also feature Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter character.
According to the report, this is not really considered a spinoff series. They explain that it will be an “entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story.” No plot details have been revealed, but it will follow the continuing adventures of these two characters.
S.H.I.E.L.D. producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski created the project, and they will be co-writing the pilot. They will serve as the series’ showrunners and executive produce it with Marvel’s head of TV Jeph Loeb.
S.H.I.E.L.D. is one of those shows that has not been consistently good. I’m not as big of a fan as I thought I would be of it, but I do hope that Marvel's Most Wanted ends up being a better series. If not, then it’s one less show I have to watch.
There’s no word on when we might see this series, or how they will introduce it. So stay tuned for info as it becomes available.
