SPIDER-MAN Solo Film Will Be Written by VACATION Screenwriters

Marvel and Sony have finally found the writers who will take on the scripting duties for the solo Spider-Man film. They’ve hired John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein to help bring Spidey back to life. These are the writers who wrote the new Vacation movie.

They will work with director Jon Watts (Cop Car) on developing the film. Tom Holland is set to star in the film as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and it has also been rumored that Marisa Tomei will be taking on the role of Aunt May.

I have yet to see Vacation, but it looks hilarious! They’ve also worked on the Horrible Bosses franchise and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, and were co-writers on Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2.

The writing duo has made some great comedy films, but I hope they have what it take to take on the web-slinger. I’m sure Marvel has a heavy hand in bringing them in to write this project, and I trust this team they’ve brought together will give us one of the best Spider-Man movies yet.
