Stunning Concept Art for George Miller’s JUSTICE LEAGUE: MORTAL

We recently learned that there’s a documentary in the early stages of development that will tell the story of George Miller’s canceled Justice League: Mortal film project. After Mad Max: Fury Road was released, fans wondered what this superhero would have been like, and now we have some concept art from it that gives us a little glimpse at what was being planned.

The concept art comes from a Twitter account set up by the producers of the upcoming doc, and the little bits of art they’ve released so far have been awesome. We’ve got a piece showing the character design they had for Aquaman; a sculpt of Martian Manhunter; an image of what looks like Wonder Woman catching a car that’s been thrown off of a building; and a stunningly beautiful illustration of Wonder Woman flying through Themyscira.

Aquaman would have been played by former Heroes actor Santiago Cabrera, and Megan Gale of Fury Road would have played Wonder Woman.

I’m looking at these illustrations, and it makes me even more curious about what Miller was trying to accomplish. The visuals are extremely , and maybe the filmmaker was on the right track. Check out the art below and let us know you think of the Miller’s vision.
