Will Jared Leto's Joker Appear in BATMAN V SUPERMAN?

Last week we got our first look at Jared Leto all decked out as the Joker for Suicide Squad. The tattooed look of the character seemed to divide fans, but I've heard reports that the photo was just a promotional shot, and that all those tattoos might not be included in the version of the Joker that wee see in the film. That photo might have been something just to get fans all worked up and talking. If that was the case, it worked.

Yesterday we heard that that Ben Affleck was spotted on the set of David Ayer's Suicide Squad leading many to believe that he will make an appearance in the film as Batman. Now it seems that Leto's Joker might first be introduced to audiences in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

The news comes from Latino Review, who seems to have some details on the story, and I will throw out a SPOILER warning just in case. Proceed with caution.

According to the report, the Joker will appear in a flashback scene in Batman v Superman, and it will show us just how the Joker ends up in prison, and it also will give us some insight into why the Batman we see in Zack Snyder’s film is such a screwed up individual.

Apparently, the flashback scene will feature the Joker beating the hell out of Robin and killing him, which comes from the 1988 Batman comic story arc "A Death In The Family," which focused on the Jason Todd version of Robin. The site says,

We will also be seeing the Jason Todd Robin costume in a glass casket somewhere on Wayne property, which would possibly trigger this flashback. Regardless of what triggers it, the complete story of how the Joker ended up behind bars at the beginning of Suicide Squad will get explicit context in less than a year.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released on March 25th, 2016. Below you'll find an image that Leto recently posted showing off his physique while wearing a Superman shirt.
