ALIEN: ROMULUS Director Fede Álvarez Wants to Direct a ALIEN VS. PREDATOR Film with PREY Director Dan Trachtenberg
With Alien: Romulus and Prey reviving the Alien and Predator franchises in a big way, director Fede Álvarez has a pretty cool idea for a new Alien vs. Predator movie.
The Alien and Predator franchises have spent years languishing in mediocrity and neither of the Alien vs. Predator movies was actually good, but there could be a crossover film made that fans would love!
During an interview with Deadline, Alien: Romulus filmmaker Fede Álvarez suggested he and Prey director Dan Trachtenberg could team up to develop the movie.
Álvarez was asked about it and he explained: "Maybe it’s something I have to co-direct with my buddy Dan. Maybe we should do like Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez did with Dusk Till Dawn. I’ll direct a half, and he’ll direct another half."
That’s actually not a bad idea, and I think a co-directing team like this would get fans pretty excited. They would just need to figure out a great story to tell to lock it in.
One thing we know for sure is that we are getting more Predator films from Trachtenberg with a spinoff titled Badlands and a sequel to Prey. It’s also safe to assume that Álvarez will return to direct another Alien movie, because Romulus is going to be a success.
The fact that these films are finding success could lead to an Alien Vs. Predator movie.
