Amy Adams and Forest Whitaker Join Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Pattinson in AVERAGE HEIGHT, AVERAGE BUILD
Adam McKay (Don't Look Up, The Big Short, Step Brothers, and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy) is making a new movie titled Average Height, Average Build, and he’s putting together quite an impressive ensemble cast.
It was already announced that Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Pattinson are set to star in the film, and we’ve now learned that they will be joined by Amy Adams, Forest Whitaker, and Till‘s Danielle Deadwyler.
Pattinson will play a serial killer in the story, “who enlists a lobbyist (Adams) to change laws that will allow him to get away with murder more easily. Downey’s role is a retired cop who won’t give up on the murders, and the killer tries to prevent him from dogging his trail now that he’s hung up his gun. The serial killer turns himself into a cause celebre, a Mr. Smith Goes to Washington figure shielding his true motives.”
The film has been described as a "allegorical dramedy,” and it sounds like it’s going to tell an interesting story. McKay seems to be enjoying making these political satire films, this one seems like it’ll be entertaining. You can bet that the filmmaker will continue to fill the cast with big A-list stars.
