Andrew Garfield Says Tobey Maguire is His Favorite Version of Spider-Man

Andrew Garfield was recently asked in an interview who his favorite version of Spider-Man is and, sorry Tom Holland, but Tobey Maguire is his favorite Spider-Man.

While talking to Vanity Fair, Garfield said: "Tobey [Maguire] was my guy. I was in drama school and I was watching his films when I was a young, impressionable actor, and I was practicing being him.

“But I think what Tom [Holland] has done is incredible as well. I kind of love them both equally, but I think because it was at a formative part of my life, Tobey…that's my Spider-Man."

While Holland is fun in the role of Spider-Man, he’s definitely not the best. Maguire is my favorite version of Spidey as well and then it’s followed by Garfield. I really like the unique aspects that they brought to each of their characters.

I hope that we get to see them play Spider-Man again! There continue to be rumors and reports that they will return, but nothing has been officially confirmed.

Personally, I would like to see Garfield and Maguire get to continue their Spider-Man stories in their own solo films, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. It would be stupid for the studios not to continue to play with these Spider-Man characters.
