ANT-MAN 3 Actress Recalls "Chaotic" Production, Says She Was Getting "New Pages Until The Last Day"
Katy O'Brian (Love Lies Bleeding) has opened up about her time shooting Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. She played Jentorra in the movie, and she described her time on the production as “chaotic.”
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she explained: "Yeah, that was absolutely chaotic. I think we were getting new pages until the last day, and I think I was getting new fights the last day. I just show up, and they're like, here's a new fight."
It’s so crazy to me that these big Hollywood studios don’t have their shit together while shooting these big-budget films. For some reason, it’s common in Hollywood to write the script for a film as they are shooting it. It’d be so much easier if they actually just locked down a script before production. But, apparently, that’s not an easy thing to do in the movie business.
Knowing that new script pages were coming in all the time for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it makes sense that the writing, dialogue, and story were so bad.
However, O'Brian did add that the people she worked with were absolutely "lovely" and added: "I thought me being this kind of like newbie, they might, I don't know, either ignore me or I would just feel out of place, but they just always made it as welcoming as possible. I was surprised by that environment."
Marvel Studios and Disney are making some changes behind the scenes. Changes that will hopefully improve the quality of the films they make.
