BLACK WIDOW Screenwriter Meeting with Scarlett Johansson Soon and It's Rumored to Be a Female Hero Team-Up Film
Last week the big news hit that Marvel was finally moving forward with a Black Widow movie. For years fans have been campaigning for the film to happen and now its time is finally coming. The studio has already hired an up and coming screenwriter named Jac Shaeffer, and according to Variety's Justin Kroll, he will meet with the film's star Scarlett Johansson soon to talk about the direction they want to take the story.
BLACK WIDOW update: While Jac didn't get a chance to meet with ScarJo before she was tapped to pen BW, hearing the two are likely to sit down at the beginning of next month to talk about the film and how they see it going.

There's also a rumor going around about the movie online that is saying that it's going to be more than just a Black Widow movie. CBM is saying that it's going to be an all-female superhero team film that will feature several other female members of the MCU.
This all started when Thor: Ragnarok co-star Tessa Thompson revealed that she cornered Kevin Feige with several other Marvel actresses and asked him about producing a film that centered around the female superheroes. Feige said "yes" and explained that it could very well happen.
If this is the case, I imagine it will end up being more of a Lady Liberators movie! Lady Liberators is an all-female team in the comics with characters that have included Valkyrie, Wasp, Black Widow and Scarlet Witch.
Of course, these rumors could be false and this might just end up being a Black Widow movie. It seems more likely that it could set the stage for an all-female superhero movie. Regardless of what happens, it will be interesting to see how it turns out!
