Chilling New Trailer for HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY Starring Jodie Foster
HBO Max has released a new trailer for it’s dark crime series True Detective: Night Country, which is the fourth season of the detective drama franchise. This next story is set in the Arctic, and it has a chilling and heavy feel to it.
Jodie Foster stars alongside Kali Reis, and they find themselves taking on a horrific case and their journey leads to some sinister and dangerous territory. I’ve enjoyed this True Detective series, and this next chapter looks like a good one.
True Detective: Night Country comes from writer, director, and showrunner Issa López, and in the story, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro who are looking to solve the case of six men that operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanishing without a trace, when the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska.
The pair of detectives “will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice.”
The cast also includes Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett, Isabella Star Lablanc, Aka Niviâna, Anna Lambe, Joel D. Montgrand, Christopher Eccleston and John Hawkes.
True Detective: Night Country premieres January 14, 2024 on Max.
