Chris Pine Says WONDER WOMAN 1984 is The Last Time He'll Play Steve Trevor
Shortly after Wonder Woman 1984 was announced, we surprisingly learned that Chris Pine would be back to reprise his role of Steve Trevor. After all, the character was killed off in the first film and it’s set 60 years after WWI and he hasn’t aged a bit! We have no idea how exactly that will happen, but director Patty Jenkins says that it will make sense.
Well, it sounds like Wonder Woman 1984 will actually be the last time we do see Steve Trevor in a Wonder Woman movie. While talking to ET, Pine says it’s likely his last time playing the character.
“I think Steve's done. I think Steve's done his bit. I wish them all the luck in the world.”
The director has said that she does have an idea for how she would like to bring the Wonder Woman trilogy to an end, and apparently that end won’t include Trevor. Which is fine! We really didn’t expect him to come back for the sequel anyway!
There are no official plot details for Wonder Woman 1984, but I’m looking forward to seeing what Jenkins and her creative team have in store.
