New Details on How Steve Trevor Is Brought Back to Life in WONDER WOMAN 1984

Ever since we learned that Chris Pine would be back as Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman 1984, fans have wondered how and why the character would be coming back.

There have been rumors in the past, but this latest report from We Got This Covered seems a bit more plausible than what we’ve previously heard. If you don’t want to know what these rumored details are and you want to go into this movie knowing as little as possible here’s a spoiler alert!

If you’re still reading, let’s just jump right into the reported details:

After meeting a tragic end several decades prior in the events of the first movie, it’s said that Wonder Woman’s love interest is brought back to life by one Maxwell Lord, tying in with previous rumors that Pedro Pascal would assume the role of the DC villain. To elaborate, we’re told that Max is looking for magical artifacts that he believes will make him as powerful as a god, drawing on the help of archeologist Barbara Ann Minerva to do so. Kristen Wiig’s character is soon out for Max’s blood, however, after one of the artifacts curses her to become Cheetah. From here, Lord enlists the services of Wonder Woman against his new foe, using the artifacts to resurrect Steve in return.

It’s not hard to imagine the resurrection of Steve Trevor playing out that way. I doubt they’ll kill him off a second time, but it would be pretty funny if they did, and then resurrected him for a third movie!

This is just a rumor for now, so we’ll just have to wait and see how this whole story actually turns out. I’m a big fan of the first movie, and I hope that this sequel ends up be at least as good. What are your thoughts on this latest information regarding the return of Steve Trevor?
