Clip From the MY ADVENTURES WITH SUPERMAN Anime-Style Series Features a Defining Moment in Clark Kent's Past
DC has released a new clip from the upcoming anime-style series My Adventures with Superman, which will be coming to Adult Swim soon! This show looks really good, and I’ve been looking forward to watching it.
The series is described as “a serialized coming of age story catching up with twenty-somethings Clark Kent, the bright and driven Lois Lane, and their best friend Jimmy Olsen as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet.”
The clip shows us a defining moment from Clark Kent’s past when he was a kid as Ma and Pa Kent first showed Clark his alien origins. There’s something buried under the ground that they are hoping will offer Clark some answers about this past, and it’s here that he comes face to face with a hologram of his father Jor-El.
The story follows Clark “as he builds his secret identity as Superman and explores his own mysterious origins. Lois, on her way to becoming a star reporter, teams up with photographer Jimmy Olsen to break the stories that matter. All the while, Clark and Lois are falling in love… as Lois gets closer and closer to uncovering his secret identity! Our trio share adventures, take down bad guys, stumble over secrets, and discover what it means to be heroes in their own right.”
The Boys star Jack Quaid voices Superman, with Alice Lee as Lois and Ishmael Sahid as Jimmy. The series will premiere sometime this summer. My Adventures With Superman will be released on July 6th.
