Dafne Keen Reveals That Channing Tatum's Gambit Kept Making Her Laugh While Shooting DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE

Channing Tatum’s Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine was hilarious, and I can only imagine how hard it must’ve been for the actors working with him to not start busting up laughing while shooting.

Gambit’s one-liners and thick Cajun accent were amazing and fans couldn’t get enough of it. But, X-23 actress Dafne Keen had enough of it because it was so hard to get through her scenes with Tatum being so damn funny.

In an interview with CB, Keen talked about Tatum's performance and how it was constantly making her laugh on set.

Keen said: "I had to tell him that, on my shot, he couldn't say his lines. I kept breaking character because I was doing my brooding Wolverine vibe.

“I was like, 'Yeah, let's f-cking go. And then he'd be like, 'I was laying my nut in my buttery...'  'No, shut up. I need to do my job over here. You're making it so hard.'"

She continues to praise him, though, saying: "But he's so good. Even the formation when he's like, 'I'm about to make a name for myself.' I was like, 'No.' Again, I'm calm and collected and this guy is just like yapping in my ear.

“He's also, he's right in front of me and it's a full frontal shot. You can probably see it somewhere, [me] dying.”

That must’ve been a real treat for the cast and crew as Tatum was finally able to bring Gambit to life after years of trying to make it happen.

Tatum previously talked about his involvement with the film, saying: “These pictures are almost 10 years apart to the day. I sat in the audience when Ryan showed his first peek of Deadpool 1 to the world and I think I ran back stage right after and found him and I think I just hugged him and was like holy shit you did it man. It’s perfect.

“I didn’t know him really at all back then. But since then I can say that there is almost no one that has had my back in this industry more than Ryan. I thought I had lost Gambit forever. But he fought for me and Gambit. I will owe him probably forever. Cause I’m not sure how I could ever do something that would be equal to what this has meant to me.

“I love ya buddy. Shawn Levy as well. Truly such a brilliant creator on every single level. All things happen for a reason. I’m so grateful to be in this movie. It’s a masterpiece in my opinion. And just pure bad ass joy. I was literally screaming in the theater. LFG!!”

I know we’ll probably never see Tatum in the role of Gambit again, but it’s great that the actor did get the opportunity to finally play that character and he did it in such an incredibly fun way!
