Daniel Craig Wants WAKE UP DEAD MAN: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY To Get a Theatrical Release
Rian Johnson is currently in the middle of making his third Knives Out murder mystery movie for Netflix, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.
The first two films were a ton of fun, but it’s a shame that we haven’t been able to experience this movies on the big screen in a theater filled with fans. I’m just one of those guys that loves watching movies in theaters.
Daniel Craig is excited about the upcoming film and he would like to see the movie released in theaters as well. He’s actually encouraging the Netflix to make that happen.
While the first sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, landed in theaters for a week, Craig is hoping the next one will get a longer run in theaters
When asked if he wants the sequel to be in theaters more than a week, the actor said: “You know I do. Hopefully, Netflix will push it out a bit, and people will get to see it.
“The people I speak to — the fans, I suppose — all they want to do is take their families and go see it at the cinemas. That’s all they want to do. Hopefully we can give them that experience.”
We’ll just have to wait and see what Netflx ends up doing, but it would be a shame if they didn’t give the movie an longer theatrical run.
The cast for this new film includes Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Josh Brolin, Thomas Hayden Church, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, and Daryl McCormack.
There are still no details on the story, but Wake Up Dead Man is expected to be released sometime in 2025.
