Daniel Radcliffe Reportedly Set to Appear in DEADPOOL 3
A report has surfaced that Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is set to appear in director Shawn Levy’s Deadpool 3. This latest rumor comes from movie insider and scooper Daniel Richtman.
It’s explained that Radcliffe will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Deadpool 3 in a mystery role. No other details were shared on how the actor will be utilized in the franchise. But, in the past, there has been talk among fans of Radcliffe taking on the role of Wolverine. All of this talk has been fan-casting and speculation.
Radcliffe was once asked about playing Wolverine in the MCU, and the actor explained that he doesn’t think that Marvel would choose someone like him after Hugh Jackman, but he also did invite Marvel to prove him wrong. He said:
"So many times, people come to me like, 'hey man, heard the Wolverine news, that's pretty cool.' No, I don't know anything about it. Like, I appreciate that somebody is clearly going like 'Wolverine's actually short in the comic books, you should get like a short guy to do it!' But I don't see myself, I don't see them going from Hugh Jackman to me. But who knows? Prove me wrong, Marvel."
It would be pretty freakin’ wild if Radcliffe actually showed up in Deadpool 3 as some kind of Wolverine variant. But, as of right now, this is just a rumor. We have no idea if the actor is going to show up in the film, and if he does, we don’t know who he’s playing.
Other actors rumored to appear in the movie include Brian Cox as William Striker, Halle Berry as Storm, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Famke Jensen as Jean Grey, Lewis Tan as Shatterstar, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Ben Affleck as Daredevil, Taylor Swift as Dazzler, Taron Edgerton as a different Wolverine, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Dafne Keen as Laura Howlett aka X23, Rebecca Romijn as Raven, Julian McMahon as Doctor Doom, Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Ian McKellen as Magneto. James Marsden may be returning to play Cyclops, and it was also previously reported that Deadpool 3 will feature more than two variants of Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool and two variants of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
The movie also stars Emma Corrin as the villain, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic as Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in an unknown role, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. They are joined by Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio. It was previously confirmed that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra in the movie.
