DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 3 Set Photos Reveal Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Danielle Cage Together in NYC

New set photos from Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 have hit the internet, and they’re giving Marvel fans another look at the growing street-level corner of the MCU. This time, the spotlight lands on Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones), and young Danielle Cage as filming continues in New York City.

One thing still missing from the action? Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock. That isn’t exactly shocking, though. With Daredevil currently behind bars in the story, the series seems to be shifting focus toward the wider network of vigilantes operating throughout New York while Matt fights his battle from the shadows.

The latest photos show Luke Cage and Iron Fist together again as the Heroes for Hire dynamic continues to expand in the MCU. Alongside them is Danielle Cage, the daughter of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones.

If you’re familiar with the comics, you already know that Danielle eventually grows up to become Captain America in a possible future timeline, though that’s obviously far down the road if Marvel Studios ever decides to explore it on screen.

The photos themselves look fairly calm and friendly, but there’s reportedly a much darker presence nearby. Other set images have revealed Bullseye lurking around the same area, which immediately raises questions about what’s really happening in the scene.

Could Bullseye be hunting New York’s vigilantes under orders from CIA Director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and the mysterious Mr. Charles? It definitely feels possible, especially considering how much Season 2 set up larger manipulation happening behind the scenes.

Another big question fans keep asking is whether Iron Fist will finally suit up. I’m sure some fans will want to see Danny Rand fully embrace the classic Iron Fist look after the Netflix series left many fans disappointed with how the character was handled.

Luke Cage officially returned to the MCU in the Season 2 finale of Daredevil: Born Again, where he reunited with Jessica Jones after being forced into brutal fights overseas. According to showrunner Dario Scardapane, that reunion was planting the seeds for much bigger things.

"There's the story that we worked out in the writers' room about what [Mr.] Charles [Matthew Lillard] was doing with people like Luke and Bullseye [Wilson Bethel], and we were able to fold that story together in this reunion of Danielle and Luke and Jessica," he explained. "It's one short scene, but it holds an entire seed packet for seasons going forward."

Scardapane continued: "The questions and the story that starts there [with Jessica, Luke, and daughter Danielle] plays into season 3, absolutely."

The MCU’s street-level heroes finally feel connected in a meaningful way, and Daredevil: Born Again seems determined to turn New York into a war zone packed with vigilantes, corruption, assassins, and political power plays.

Created by Dario Scardapane, Chris Ord, and Matt Corman, the series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is currently streaming on Disney+, while Season 3 is expected to premiere next year.
