DAREDEVIL Star Charlie Cox Reportedly Spotting on The Set of SPIDER-MAN 3
Not long ago a report surfaced that Charlie Cox would be reprising his role as Daredevil in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. Well, ComicBook is now reporting that Cox was actually spotted on the set of the film and that he’s completed shooting his scenes for the film. They don’t reveal any sources or proof, but they are confident enough with the intel that they are reporting it.
I hope that this is true, I would love to see Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in the film! I’m especially curious about how he might be utilized in the story. Kevin Smith has also said several months ago that Cox would be in the film saying:
“I heard another piece of good fucking news. Did You hear that Spider-Man, the new Spider-Man movie, gonna have a lawyer in it? […] Charlie Cox, they’re bringing in as Matt Murdock.”
But, we’ll have to wait and see if there is any truth to this when the movie is released. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was recently asked about the future of Cox’s Daredevil in the MCU and this was his response:
"I look at anything that's happened before, whether it's our movies, whether it's Marvel Entertainment TV series, and, particularly, obviously, the comics, video games, cartoons ... all of it is available as inspiration for the future of Marvel. That's the way the comics have worked for 80 years. So, we'll see."
Spider-Man 3 is shaping up to be something insane as it’s bringing back Andrew Garfield as his version of Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire is in talks to return, Kirsten Dunst will return as Mary Jane Watson, and Emma Stone could “reprise her role as Gwen Stacy, pregnancy permitting.” That’s on top of Jamie Foxx coming back as Electro and Alfred Molina coming back as Doctor Octopus.
Spider-Man 3 is being directed by Jon Watts and it also stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori, and Jacob Batalon. The movie is currently set to be released on December 17th, 2021.
