There’s a new Star Wars rumor that has surfaced that is sure to get to fans excited. According to The Direct, the villainous character Darth Maul may end up getting his very own Disney+ series. They also say that he is expected to appear in “multiple” Star Wars shows over the next few years.

His solo series is expected to take place after the events of Solo: A Star Wars Story and Emilia Clarke's Character Qi'ra is said to "feature prominently in the series.” I guess fans who have been wanting to see the story that Solo started continue, might actually get their wish! This is on top of the recent report that Donald Glover’s Lando will also be getting a series.

I enjoyed Maul’s story arc in the Star Wars animated shows, and it would be fun to see the character explored further.

In addition, The Illuminderdi is reporting that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is scheduled to start production in Los Angeles next March. The show will be shooting in The Volume, which is the virtual filming environment where The Mandalorian was shot.

Ewan McGregor will return to the role of Obi-Wan, and there are rumors that Hayden Christensen may reprise the role of Anakain Skywalker/Darth Vader. Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian) will direct the entire first season from a script by Joby Harold (Bumblebee).

What do you think of the latest Darth Maul rumors?
