Dave Filoni's STAR WARS: TALES OF THE JEDI is Getting a Season 2!
Dave Filoni’s animated series Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is officially getting a second season! The exciting news was confirmed by Filoni at Star Wars Celebration at the end of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars 15th Anniversary panel. He said: "Tales of the Jedi was so fun the first time, I decided to do some more."
Unfortunately, Filoni didn’t offer any other details. The first season consisted of six fantastic short episodes, and half of them expanded Ahsoka Tano’s story. The other half of the episodes expanded Count Dooku’s story and even included Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn. The episodes also included several fascinating Star Wars revelations, including the fate of Jedi Master Yaddle.
The shorts feature “parables built around Jedi from the prequel era. Journey into the lives of two distinctly different Jedi—Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku—each will be put to the test as they make choices that will define their destinies.”
When previously talking about the show, Filoni said: "I thought of this adventure for Ahsoka for a long time, and it's interesting to see how it's evolved. Years ago, I never would have imagined that it was sprung from a branch of a tree that had anything to do with a guy [like] Din Djarin, or a child that looks like Yoda. It's a great lesson for me on how, when you have other creatives like Jon Favreau, they can help lend such dimension and depth to what you're doing."
We have no idea what Season 2 will entail or the characters that it will focus on, but I imagine that Ahsoka Tano will continue to be a part of it. If she does come back, we can expect Ashley Eckstein to reprise her role.
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Season 1 is streaming now on Disney+ and if you haven’t seen it, you should watch it!
