David Harbour Teases New Projects With Millie Bobby Brown: “10 Years Wasn’t Enough”

For fans of Stranger Things, the bond between Jim Hopper and Eleven was one of the emotional anchors that kept the series grounded through all the supernatural chaos.

Even though the hit Netflix series has come to an end, it sounds like the partnership between the actors who brought those characters to life is far from over.

David Harbour recently revealed that he’s already developing multiple new projects with his longtime Stranger Things co-star Millie Bobby Brown, teasing that audiences can expect to see the duo reunite again in the future.

Over the course of five seasons, Harbour and Brown built one of the most memorable relationships on television as Hawkins Police Chief Jim Hopper and his adopted, superpowered daughter Eleven.

After spending nearly a decade working together, it seems neither actor is quite ready to move on from that creative partnership.

While speaking with Variety, Harbour hinted that the pair already has several collaborations in the works. “Straight up, Millie and I are working on several…” Harbour said, stopping himself before revealing any details. “You’ll see more of me and Millie – 10 years wasn’t enough. There is a special bond there.”

Naturally, that comment has already sparked plenty of speculation among fans eager to see what the two actors might be cooking up next. At the moment, there’s no indication of what those projects are, but they most likely aren’t connected to Stranger Things.

The flagship series officially wrapped up its story with Season 5, and the Duffer Brothers recently joked that they have no plans to clarify the lingering questions surrounding Eleven’s fate anytime soon, saying fans may have to wait another 20 years before getting those answers.

Even without a return to Hawkins on the horizon, both stars have packed schedules ahead of them. Harbour continues to stay busy with a string of high-profile roles. He’ll next return as Red Guardian in Avengers: Doomsday, join the upcoming Rambo reboot starring Noah Centineo, reprise his scene-stealing Santa in Violent Night 2, and once again lend his voice to Frankenstein in Creature Commandos Season 2.

Brown also has plenty on her plate. She’ll soon return in Enola Holmes 3, which finds the young detective embarking on a new adventure involving her missing brother Sherlock, once again played by Henry Cavill.

Brown also reflected on the unique creative relationship she developed with Harbour throughout their years together on Stranger Things.

“Obviously I changed so much from Season 1 to Season 5, and David was there through all of it,” Brown said. “Over time, our relationship became much more collaborative creatively.

“When you work with someone for that many years, we could really push each other emotionally in scenes. Even though the series has ended, there’s still a lot of gratitude.”

This is all so interesting to learn, especially after Brown reportedly filed bullying and harrassment charges against Harbour. But, I guess that’s not an issue anymore. Whatever these mystery projects turn out to be, there’s already a built-in audience eager to see them share the screen again.
