DEADPOOL 2 Actor Lewis Tan has Met With DC About Playing Dick Greyson in NIGHTWING

Actor Lewis Tan, who you know from Deadpool 2, Into the Badlands, and Iron Fist has confirmed with That Hashtag Show that he has met with DC Entertainment about possibly taking on the role of Dick Greyson in director Chris McKay's Nightwing film. When asked about the film project, Tan said:

"I know Chris McKay wants a martial artist, right, so that's out there. He's following me on Twitter, you know...there's a lot of good juju vibes out there for that. Nothing that I can say that is confirmed. This is a project that he's still developing and I sat down with DC, with some of the executives at DC, and they're big fans, I'm a big fan, obviously. My father came to America, because of Batman (Tan's father worked on Tim Burton's 1989 film) and, you know, I definitely want to see that come full circle and give back.

Im not trading in my Marvel roots, because they started me, but DC started my dad, so it would be nice to go over there and play around and find the right thing. So we're looking for the right thing and there were a lot of different talks and Nightwing was one of those that were mentioned, so we'll see."

It certainly sounds like McKay is considering Tan for the role of Nightwing. Tan has been a part of some fun films in his career and this one would certainly be his biggest role to date. I like what I've seen from Tan in the projects that he's been a part of and I have no doubt that he would kick ass as Nightwing.

The project is obviously still in the early days of development, but it will be interesting to see who McKay actually does end up casting because there's no doubt that McKay has met with several actors for the film. When previously teasing the action in the film, McKay said:

"It's going to be unlike any other sort of superhero movie because it's not gonna rely on a lot of CG. This movie is going to win a stunt Academy Award. They're going to make a stunt Academy Award for this movie. I guarantee it. It's going to be insane."

I'm excited to see how this Nightwing movie turns out. It may not happen for a while because it's reportedly low on Warner Bros.' priority movie list.

What do you think about Tan possibly playing Nightwing? What other actors would you want to see in the role?
