Don't Expect Mephisto to Show Up in Marvel's AGATHA: COVEN OF CHAOS
With Marvel’s WandaVision series, fans were constantly talking about Mephisto and when he was going to show up in the series. So many people just assumed that Mephisto was going to be the big secret villain in the Marvel project, but when all was said and done, the villainous demonic character never showed up.
Now, some fans seem to be expecting Mephisto to appear in the upcoming spinoff series Agatha: Coven of Choas, but a new report has surfaced saying that’s not going to happen.
Entertainment Insider CanWeGetSomeToast shared on Instagram that Mephisto will not make any sort of physical appearance in the series, but he will be mentioned. That mention is in regard to Agatha’s son, Nicholas Scratch.
Now, there have been reports in the past that Mephisto might appear in the Dominique Thorne-led series Ironheart. The same source previously shared that Mephisto will apparently appear “mostly” in his human form in the series, instead of his demon form. It’s explained that it will feature only “glimpses” of his true demonic appearance.
We’ll just have to wait and see, how this all plays out with Mephisto, and if there’s any truth to any of these reports and rumors. It makes sense for Marvel to eventually introduce him, when they do it will be interesting to see how they do it and how his story arc will play out.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos stars Kathryn Hahn as she reprises her villainous role of Agatha Harkness from WandaVision. She is joined by returning cast members from WandaVision that include David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, and Kate Forbes. They join Deborah Jo Rupp and Emma Caufield who are also returning cast members.
The show also stars newcomers Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, and Maria Dizzia.
Coven of Chaos is said to be a “dark comedy” in the MCU. When we last saw Agatha, she attempted to take Wanda Maximoff’s magic for herself, and Wanda trapped her in the “Agnes” persona.
