Elizabeth Olsen Teases Her Return as Scarlet Witch - "I Think I Would Maybe Be Spoiling Something..."
After the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans are wondering what’s next for Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch in the MCU. I think we all know that she will return to the MCU one day, we just don’t know when or how that will happen.
There have been rumors that Scarlet Witch will be getting her own movie, and there’s speculation that she will appear in the upcoming Vision series, which could lead to that.
During a recent Q&A panel, Olsen was asked if there are any particular storylines she'd like to bring to life in the MCU. Her answer definitely teased her return to the role.
Olsen said: "Well, honestly, if I were to tell you exactly what I would want I think I would maybe be spoiling something. Kevin Feige genuinely asks us what we want to do with the character and then he does it [Laughs] so I don't know if I can share...I just want to come back."
So, it sounds like whatever storyline she would like to explore with the character is going to move forward. I also assume that she’ll show up in upcoming Avengers movies.
Wanda's knowledge of the Multiverse could play into how Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars play out, and there are already reports about her Doctor Doom having a relationship.
When previously talking about returning to the MCU, Olsen said: "It's a character I love going back to when there's a way to use her well and I think I've been lucky when I started I was used well.
“And they kind of didn't know what to do with me for a second there! If there's a good way to use her, I'm always happy to come back."
When asked if her character is still alive, she said: "I think so. I assume as much. Yeah, and there was a red light of explosive energy. I think I'm dead. I would beg to leave a window open. I had so much fun doing these movies. I would like to figure out how to cleverly be undead."
"We need to find the smartest writers to figure out how to make this all make sense. I'm open to ideas.”
