Ethan Hawke Cast as the Lead Villain in Marvel's MOON KNIGHT Series
Ethan Hawke is set to take on the lead villainous role in Marvel’s highly anticipated Disney+ series Moon Knight. There are no details on which villain he will be playing, but Hawke is an awesome actor and I can’t wait to see who he’ll be playing.
The main villain in Marvel’s Moon Knight comics has been Bushman, a former mercenary who is Moon Knight’s oldest and most formidable nemesis. That’s my bet. What other villainous characters do you think Hawke could end up playing?
Hawke joins Oscar Isaac, who will be playing the title role in the series. The story focuses on Marc Spector, a character who has multiple different alter egos including millionaire Steven Grant and cab driver Jake Lockley. These alter egos may or may not be separate, alternate personalities, and the same may be true of Khonshu, the Egyptian deity who is either guiding Spector through his costumed adventures or a figment of Spector’s imagination. Most recently, the character was a consultant who dresses in all-white and goes by the name Mr. Knight.
Moon Knight was created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin and appeared in the August 1975 issue Werewolf by Night #32. Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) and Beau DeMayo (The Originals and The Witcher) writing the series. Mohamed Diab, Justin Benson, and Aaron Moorhead are directing.
The Moon Knight series is also rumored to tie into Marvel’s Blade movie. Some of the other rumored characters who might be showing up in the series include Werewolf by Night, Stained Glass Scarlet, and Dracula.
