First Look at Paul Walter Hauser as Mole Man in THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS

Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Paul Walter Hauser (Black Bird, Richard Jewell) is about to make his MCU debut as Mole Man in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and we have a first look photo at the character for you to check out. In a new interview with USA Today, Hauser chatted about his subterranean villainous character, alluding to the fact that this version of Harvey Rupert Elder, aka Mole Man, won't actually be a full-blown bad guy in this movie.

Hauser explained, “He is living sort of in the shadows like a villain would, but he's also taking care of an entire race of people and trying to live his life without being bothered.”

Director Matt Shakman added, “It's a power struggle, but within that, there are compromises and alliances made. He's all about community, and that's why Sue and Harvey have a good relationship and they get along. They understand each other.”

Directed by WandaVision’s Matt Shakman, Hauser is joined in the cast by Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm), with a supporting lineup that includes Natasha Lyonne and Sarah Niles in yet-to-be-revealed roles, as well as bad guys Silver Surfer (Julia Garner) and Galactus (Ralph Ineson).

The Fantastic Four: First Steps lands in theaters and IMAX on July 25th.
