First Look at Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady in VENOM 2
Venom 2 recently wrapped production in the UK so it shouldn’t be too much longer before we start learning new things about the movie. Star Tom Hardy recently shared a photo, giving us our first look Woody Harrelson as serial killer Cletus Kasady, who eventually becomes Carnage.
There’s one big change you’ll notice… when Harrelson was introduced as Kasady in the first Venom film he was wearing a goofy wig. As you can see here, he’s looking more clean cut.
We don’t have any details regarding the story of Venom 2, but when previously talking about the film, director Andy Serkis said: “I’ve got some very clear ideas about the journey I’d like to see visually and how we can take the characters into another dimension.”
Serkis went on to say that Hardy was “very involved with the writing” on the project. Kelly Marcell wrote the script, and the new story is “very much centered around their take.”
The film also stars Michelle Williams, Woody Harrelson, Stephen Graham, and Naomie Harris as Shriek. There are also rumors that Tom Holland could show up as well, which is something that seems very possible now. After all, Morbius has set up a connection to that version of Spider-Man and the MCU.
I’m very curious to see how Carnage will be utilized in this film. I’ve been a fan of this villain for a long time, and I just hope they handle him properly by leaning into his super dark and sinister personality. What do you think of Harrelson’s new look as the character?
