First Reactions to SAW X Surface; It's Praised as One of the Best Films in the Franchise
The first reactions for Saw X have been shared on social media by critics who had the opportunity to catch an early screening of the film. Most of the reviews that I saw praise the movie and its star, Tobin Bell. In fact, it’s said that Saw X is one of the best films in the long-running horror franchise.
The trailers for the film have certainly piqued my interest in the film, and I haven’t really been interested in the Saw franchise for years. But, this one has a different kind of concept that captured my attention, and that’s the fact that the story is set between the events of Saw I and II and puts more of a focus on the character John Kramer.
The movie follows “a sick and desperate John as he travels to Mexico for a risky and experimental medical procedure in hopes of a miracle cure for his cancer – only to discover the entire operation is a scam to defraud the most vulnerable. The infamous killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps.”
The goal for the movie is to deliver a film that “captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise, while also keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a new mystery to solve.”
Check out the reactions below and let us know if you’re looking forward to watching this next film in the Saw franchise.
The cast for Saw X also Renata Vaca (Midnight Family), Paulette Hernandez (Crown of Tears), Joshua Okamoto (Control-Z), Octavio Hinojosa (Come Play With Me), Synnøve Macody Lund (Ragnarok), Steven Brand (The Sandman) and Michael Beach (Dahmer).
Franchise director Kevin Greutert, who worked on Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter, helmed the project.
Lionsgate will now release Saw X in theaters on September 29, 2023!
