Gal Gadot Talks About Returning to the FAST AND FURIOUS Franchise - "It Just Felt Right This Time"

A lot of Fast and Furious fans seemed pretty surprised when Gal Gadot showed up briefly in Fast X in a submarine to rescue Michelle Rodriguez's Letty and Charlize Theron's Cypher. I can’t say I was surprised because it’s been made clear that no one can really stay dead in the franchise. It was only a matter of time before she popped up again.

During a recent interview with Gadot, she talked a little bit about returning to the Fast family after all these years of thinking her character Gisele was dead. In Fast & Furious 6, she let herself fall off a plane in the infamous runway scene to save Han from being shot by one of Owen Shaw's henchmen. I guess that’s something someone could survive.

Gadot stold Total Film: "Wow. I wish I could say something. If I'm going to say something to you, somebody is going to jump into my room and tie my mouth. But Fast was the first feature I'd ever done as an actress. They were the ones to give me my first opportunity, my first break in Hollywood. And I'm forever grateful for that. And they're a community. They're like family. We still keep in touch. They have a special place in my heart and it's very exciting."

Gadot added: "I think that the Fast Saga... they manage to create a huge, incredible, loyal fanbase like no one else. I've seen it nowhere [else], you know? And my love to them, and the love from the fans, and my love to the fans, it just felt right this time. And it's very exciting."

I imagine that Gadot will be back in the next film in the franchise as director Louis Leterrier previously teased the return of franchise characters. In regard to what’s coming said: "The thing with this one is we're nearing the end. We've been very open about it that this is the end of the road and we're near the end. So there's no character that is not talked about or mentioned. Everybody in this franchise, literally, as you saw, is mentioned or seen. Just to tell you, that's just the beginning. You will see. That's all I have to say. You will see."

A lot of fans are curious to see how the franchise will come to an end. I haven’t liked the last couple of films that have been made. I’m not expecting much from the future of the franchise, but I’ve already invested this much time in the franchise, so of course, I’m going to continue to watch until it ends.

What are your thoughts on Gal Gadot returning to the franchise to play a role in closing out the story?
