GHOSTBUSTERS 3 and MORBIUS Get 2020 Summer Release Dates

Sony Pictures has announced the release dates for two of their highly anticipated films. Ghostbusters 3 is set to be released on July 10th, 2020 and their Marvel film Morbius will hit theaters on July 31st, 2020.

I’m definitely more excited about Ghostbusters 3. The film is being produced by original director Ivan Reitman and his son Jason Reitman is directing the film. We also know that it will pass the torch to a younger generation of characters. It is rumored that these new characters will consist of two boys and two girls from the ages of 12 to 13. As for Morbius, Jared Leto will play Morbius, a.k.a. Dr. Michael Morbius, "a scientist who suffered from a rare blood disease and attempted to cure himself to disastrous results. Instead of being cured, he became afflicted with a condition that was a form of vampirism — the thirst for blood, along with fangs and super strength — and fought Spider-Man. Over time, however, he became a slightly heroic figure in his own right and even headlined his own comic book titles."

Leto will be joined by Adria Arjona, who will play Martine Bancroft, the female lead, and Matt Smith is also joining the film in an unknown role.

So, July of 2020 is shaping up to be a good summer of movies!
