GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 is Coming in 2020

Yesterday James Gunn took to Twitter to answer a bunch of questions from the fans. During this little Q&A, the director was asked the silly question if there was going to be a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It's at this point that he took the opportunity to revel that the movie would be released in 2020.

He didn't exactly say when. But Marvel has already carved out release dates for May 1st, August 7th, and November 6th, so it could end up being one of those dates.

Gunn also pointed out that Disney's recent acquisition of Fox's assets wouldn't change any of his plans for the third film in any way. You won't be seeing any of those characters that Fox owned the rights to in his films because he's not interested in them. He also makes a point of saying that he will not bring Yondu back to life. Here are those other tweets:

At some point, Chris Pratt posted this amusing tweet:

To which Gunn replied:

We don't know much about Vol. 3, but we do know that it be the beginning of a whole new Marvel cosmic cinematic universe and he's got a list of a ton of songs that he wants to use. We can also expect to see Adam Warlock finally make his big screen debut. It's going to be excited to see where the next chapter of this story will lead these fantastic characters.
