GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Will Reportedly Be Released in May of 2020

Marvel is starting to get ready for 2020 since Captain Marvel is underway and the sequel to Spider-Man Homecoming is poised to start work in May. Last month, James Gunn said that Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 would be released in 2020. But, now thanks to TheHasthagShow, it seems the exact release date will be May 1, 2020.

This means everyone’s favorite rag-tag group of heroes in space are currently set to kick-off Marvel’s 2020. For their third adventure, director James Gunn and crew will return to Pinewood Atlanta Studios where they are scheduled to begin filming in the first part of 2019. This will mark a return to Pinewood as most of the second Guardians film was filmed there.

We still don’t know where the third volume will go after Avengers: Infinity War, but I’m sure that this will be just as fun as the other two.

James Gunn has explained that Guardians Vol. 3 will be the end of the Guardians trilogy with this team of characters, but the beginning of a whole new Marvel cosmic cinematic universe.

"When we’re talking about Guardians of the Galaxy 3, and that story, that’s a story that will lead to other stories. It’s innate to the DNA that that’s the end of a trilogy but it’s the beginning of a whole other element of the Marvel Cosmic universe."

I'm so excited to see what this third movie in the franchise will entail!
