Hailee Steinfeld Joins Miles Teller in Olympic Drama WINTER GAMES

Fresh off her record-breaking horror hit Sinners, Hailee Steinfeld has locked in her next major role. She’ll star opposite Miles Teller in Winter Games, an Olympic-themed drama from Paramount and Star Thrower Entertainment. Paul Downs Colaizzo (Brittany Runs a Marathon) is set to direct from a script he co-wrote with Pat Cunnane.

The film revolves around the “high-stakes arena of the Winter Olympic Games, a perpetually overlooked skier and a self-sabotaging hockey legend who collide at their breaking points. Their unexpected connection threatens her chance for a medal and his shot at a comeback as they navigate romance and redemption in the Olympic Village.”

Steinfeld had her pick of follow-up projects after Sinners became an unexpected box-office monster, raking in $365.7 million globally. That makes it the highest-grossing original film of the 2020s, the top-earning original movie of the last 15 years, and the fifth highest-grossing horror film of all time.

Despite the flood of offers that followed Sinners, Steinfeld took her time choosing the next move. Winter Games is where she landed. It’s a high-emotion drama with strong character arcs and it should be a great project for her.
